Re-Introducing Our Own Original Physical Culture Supply Co. Private Label
We’re very excited about re-introducing our own original retro-inspired private label, Physical Culture Supply Co.
Many people still remember this label from when we used it with all of our throwback jerseys and related styles going back some 20 years ago.
This was when throwbacks were on fire, and people couldn’t get enough of them. Soon afterward, the trend died but not before a lot of folks connected with this history and never stopped supporting and appreciating our efforts.
Many customers still contact us today with photos or stories of their Black Fives jerseys from back then. OG supporters! And we appreciate you very much! You helped get us here!
This time we are re-introducing the label starting with fitted and snapback cap styles through a special partnership with Lids, the leading headwear retailer in the world.
These caps will drop on February 28, 2022, only at Lids retail locations near you, at Lids.com, at Fanatics retail stores, and at Fanatics.com as well as in the Black Fives Online Fan Shop.
This initiative will amplify awareness about the important pre-NBA history of African Americans in basketball with exclusive collections available year-round.
The first Black Fives x Physical Culture Supply Co. x Lids collection has 28 styles in all – 15 fitted styles and 13 snapback styles – including many of your favorite Black Fives Era teams and some Black Fives branded styles. Future collections will include additional teams.

Purchased this hat only to have it fall apart on me. The button on the top of the hat fell off and when I touched the top of the hat I was stabbed by the pin that holds the top button in place
