WATCH: NBA Players Honor Black Fives Era Pioneers
In this amazing collaboration between Fox Sports Net and the Black Fives Foundation, NBA players pair up with Black Fives Era pioneers in a series of 30-second long television vignettes that the network broadcasted during Black History Month 2014 as part of its “Original Pioneers” campaign. We recommended the pioneers, compiled the research, co-wrote the player scripts, and provided the vintage images.
Previously, these video gems were only aired in FSN’s local NBA markets. Now you can see them too, in their own video playlist on our YouTube channel:
As previously mentioned, this is one of the biggest milestones ever achieved in terms of bringing this history back to life by making it relevant today. It is a historic pioneering effort in and of itself
