If you are a frequent visitor here, you may have noticed that I only posted one article last week. Usually, I publish at least four and most often five posts per week.
The empty space was because I took some time off to catch up on a few things. It was also a school vacation week, so I had a chance to take a small vacation with my family.
Speaking of catching up on matters, we are planning to unveil a new website for BlackFives.com. The change will include a new look, new features, easier navigation, and a few behind-the-scenes changes that will make the whole thing better.
If you have any suggestions, comments, advice, or ideas about this, please feel free to share them now.
The transition from old to new will require some temporary (but necessary) down time for the website, and some redirecting of old links.
At some point soon, I’ll announce the move here, and on BlackFives.com. We want the downtime to be as brief as possible and the transition to be as smooth as possible.
Blog Performance Issues
Speaking of smooth, when WordPress released its new updated version (2.7.1), I upgraded to that version. But there were a few WordPress plug-ins that I’m using with The Black Fives Blog, which those plug-in developers did not update accordingly.
This has caused some performance issues with a lot of blogs, including this one, mostly in the form of slow response time. I’m working with the hosting company to fix those issues. Meanwhile, I apologize for any inconvenience you might have expereienced.
But in any case, please feel free to let me know if you encounter anything unusual (in terms of performance, that is).
