To commemorate and conclude Black History Month, the Harlem Magic Masters will be here a week from today to face Falls Church’s best in a tribute game:

The City of Falls Church, Virginia and the Tinner Hill Heritage Foundation will present their annual Black History Celebration & Celebrity Basketball Game on Friday, Feb. 27, 2009.


Celebrity Basketball Game:

Tinner Hill Heritage Foundation and the City of Falls Church present an outstanding evening of laughter, family fun and basketball game in celebration of black history month.

The Falls Church City All-Star Team will play New York City’s finest, the Harlem MagicMasters!  The MagicMasters barely beat our Falls Church All-Stars last time, let’s show them what Falls Church is made of this year! The game is fun, exciting and “edu-taining.”

Pre-Game Panel Discussion:

“Remembering John “Boy Wonder” Isaacs; Basketball Pioneer Extraordinaire”

John Isaacs, a Tinner Hill 2008 Living Legacy award winner, made his transition last week at the age of 93.  A giant of a man, he spent the last 50 years of his life working with youth.  A panel will discuss the implications of Mr. Isaacs’ gifts to the world and basketball.  Film clips of Mr. Isaacs visit with us at the game last year will also be shown.
